Aakash Gupta in Guinness Book of world records

I am Aakash Gupta student of Sharad Pawar International School, Pune doing International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). I have my record in Guinness Book of world records for longest Guitar Marathon which last for 113 hours. I also have my record in Ripley's Believe it or not book, Limca Book of records and Asia book of records for the longest guitar marathon for 73 hours 15 minutes.

I also established my record for longest mathematics marathon which lasts for 40 hours in which I solved mathematical problems from grade 9 till engineering level.

I am also writing a book titled "Possibility of Impossibilities, A book on Astrophysics and Astronomy"  which exclusively focuses on the future of our planet Earth, our solar system, and our universe as a whole. It also encourage the readers about the formation of a Unified Theory, a theory that rules over all the other theories and possess the capability to answer all the unanswered questions in the field of Physics.

Apart from my extra-curricular activities such as singing, playing guitar, skating, swimming and athletics, I am also well in studies. I obtained 94% of marks in grade 10 ICSE Board Examinations from St. Peter's College, Agra and maintained first position in grade 11 by obtaining 4.6 GPA out of 5.  

I also did an internship with Scoutek Ltd, England, an agency and a research center located in UK, in the field of Aerospace.

I want to do Aerospace Engineering after completing grade 12 which I consider to be one of the best field of research. And therefore I am very keen to gather more and more information from this field and understand its technicalities.

I have been awarded by several honors such as Agra Ratan Award, Rising Star of the year 2010, Agra Arjun Award etc. I have also been awarded by Amitabh Bachchan and by the spouse of Mr. Hamid Ansari.

Recently my mother, Mrs. Chhaya Gupta, has also made a record in Limca book of record for making a longest greeting card named" Indian culture Card" measuring 135.14 m long and 1.45 m wide.

Three World Records in Guinness Book of World records for Longest Guitar Marathon. The latest one lasts for 113 hours.

·         Record in Asia Book of records for longest Mathematics Marathon, by solving 678 problems from selected chapters from Std IX to engineering level which lasts for 40 hours.

·         Won 100% scholarship Award to complete IB diploma Programme. 

·         Currently doing a project with Scoutek Ltd, England.

·         Writing a Book on Astrophysics and Astronomy.

·         Obtained third position in Meritus Scholarship Exam.

·         Obtained 1^st position in the college in Mathematics Olympiad and 30^th in the State.

EuroAble: A call centre with a human face

For the last six years, Rajeev Mehta, a juice stall owner, has been struggling to meet the needs of his family. A polio victim, Mehta had to give up studies after his father fell ill when Rajeev was writing his eleventh standard final examinations.
Today, he is part of a unique business model that aims to provide jobs for handicapped people in the corporate sector.
Mehta -- along with his 70 handicapped colleagues, some of whom are graduates -- manages the Eureka Forbes call centre in Chembur, a Mumbai suburb. Called EuroAble, the 5,000 square feet call centre facility at National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped (NASEOH) centre in Chembur has been specially designed for people with physical disabilities.

Three months ago when Rajeev Mehta saw an advertisement calling handicapped people to run a call centre, he was pleasantly surprised.
He went for the interview and got selected. The call centre has helped him tide over the family's financial instabilities and secure a corporate job.
"Joining the call centre has been a great experience for me. The company has taken good care of us, trained us very well. We are very confident and happy to work here. It actually feels like home," says Rajeev excitedly.
A majority of the handicapped people working here are suffering from orthopedic disabilities due to polio.  They say handicapped people do no have good job opportunities in India in spite of being educated.
"I had applied for several jobs in the past but I was rejected. It was very disappointing. But now I am hopeful of a bright future," says Rajeev.

"EuroAble as an idea was conceptualised by our chairman Shapoor Mistry. We have received immense support from everyone for this unique centre which reinforces our belief and trust on the people with special needs," says Vinath Hegde, head, Customer Response Management, Eureka Forbes.
The company could not fix any specific recruitment criterion as most of them were shy to even speak up initially.

"We had to instill a lot of confidence in them through counselling. It took about two months to improve their language skills. Today, they tactfully handle some irate customers as well," says Vinath Hegde.
Other employees like Rajeev also faced financial problems and tragedies. Seema Dive lost her father 12 years ago. Despite her handicap, she had to work hard and support her family.
"I have an identity now. This is a great encouragement for all handicapped people in the country. Today, I have a strong footing, am financially independent and I hope to complete my graduation soon," says Seema Dive, who has an orthopedic problem with her right leg.

Ajay Garg - Development of Technology for Indian languages

Ajay Garg is a Student of Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of  Engineering and Technology, Pimpri. He has been researching on solutions to minimize the digital gap in localization and internationalization of Indian languages and is working on development of technology for Indian languages since 2006.

Ajay Garg's Research Paper selected for International Conference in Spain
and Technology, has been selected for INTED2011 that will be held in Valencia (Spain) from 7th-9th of March, 2011.

PRLog (Press Release) – Dec 17, 2010 – Pimpri:- Ajay Garg, selected for INTED2011 (International Technology, Education and Development Conference) that will be held in Valencia (Spain) on the 7th, 8th and 9th of March, 2011. He has been selected for his innovative work on two Research Papers in Indic Languages and Next Generation Approach towards education. Ajay will be the only student participating from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad for "INTED2011".

In the present competitive world it is important to cope up with the demanding speed of changes to systems. Ajay's invention will help towards bringing education at the grassroot level.

The story of magic is as old as recorded history. Magicians performed in the streets and marketplaces. Almost every society has some form of magic. Some say that magic is the most universal of the performing arts, because it translates so easily from one culture to another. The tale of the famed "Indian rope trick" goes back more than 600 years. The story goes roughly as follows: a magician suspends a rope in an outdoor clearing. Then a boy climbs the rope and disappears. The magician grabs a sword, follows and disappears too. The audience hears screams as body parts fall to the ground. Then the magician reappears, climbs down, throws the bloody parts into a basket and shakes it. The boy steps out of the basket unhurt.

Mr.  Rajesh Kumar  born on 1-1-1993 , in Ludhiana Punjab. He had a keen interest in Science, which grown a magic bug to explore his talent which helped him to overcome with his shyness.  His dream was to perform magic show with his own Magic Series on Television.  How one could respond to a street boy ?  So he started conducting magic shows within his friends, classrooms & on street, he create videos and than upload them at Youtube.  While uploading videos on Youtube he   used to put his email address and contact No. with his video , His cleverness blessed with the best blessing and he  got an email from the  STAR (TV) production house “ Indias Magic Star”  who was making the show. I asked him do u used magic in class he said I was shy that’s I don’t try it coz. In school everybody loves him.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar performed Illusion Shows, Hypnosis, and Escape. Beyond all this he performs close up street magic, stage magic,  stunts , telekinesis’ ,  psycokenisis, mentalism , fire acts, metal bending.  His specialization is in Illusion. Let me define its meaning so that we can enjoy Rajesh illusions.  It means (An unreal image presented to the bodily or mental vision / A sensation originated by some external object, but so modified as in any way to lead to an erroneous perception).  He is popular among magicians as a guest lecturer at their conventions.  He has used magic successfully in corporate product promotions and publicities and trade shows to bring out inherent challenge of magical creativity . Rajesh is a young scientist in my sight,  coz he grows ideas and perform them on the stage of our hearts and continued to invent new illusions for us.

Modern performers have vanished objects as large as the Taj Mahal, the Statue of Liberty, and a space shuttle, using other kinds of optical deceptions. In the same sequesnce a 18 years old Rajesh Kumar  was invited in a Tourism Fair, he vanished  Pitampura TV Tower  a 235-metre-tall television tower, built in 1988, in full day light  in front of live audience for promoting dilli magic festival between 7-9 oct 2011 of New Delhi and  recorded  as his own achievement.
